Robert Martin - Horn

Robert became a first call session ace in the Philly recording scene at the age of twenty while studying horn at the prestigious Curtis Institute with Mason Jones, principal horn of the Philadelphia Orchestra for four decades. While at Curtis, Robert engaged in intensive study of the classical orchestral repertoire under the baton of the greatest conductors in the world, including Eugene Ormandy, Claudio Abbado, Lorin Maazel and Seiji Ozawa. Before leaving Philadelphia for the West Coast,

Robert played horn on numerous classic hit records like Me And Mrs. Jones, Backstabbers, Love Train, If You Don’t Know Me By Now, and many more. He still uses that unique and haunting sound today to enhance recordings and live performances.
